FAQ
What does 'Photo Ready' mean?
- Cleaned, dusted, and free of clutter and excess decor.
- Windows clean and blinds/curtains open.
- Beds made, towels, linens, blankets, and pillows clean/folded/fluffed.
- Whenever possible make sure that all lights are working and outlet/switch covers are installed.
- Removing small rugs in entry ways, bathrooms, and kitchens in most instances is preferred and helps showcase the flooring and gives a larger appearance to the space in photos.
- Pets contained or brought out of the home briefly. (even though I'm a HUGE animal person, it takes extra time to make sure that no extra 'models' are present in photos and editing them out of an image is not a quick fix.)
Do I need to be present during the session?
For the best results, it is preferred that the home be vacant during the photography session. This allows for a smooth, efficient workflow and ensures the highest quality images. If needed, I am happy to access the property using a lockbox or provided entry code and will ensure the home is securely locked upon departure.
How long do real estate listings take to photograph ?
Most listings can be photographed between 1-2 hours depending on the size and each properties specific features. In the event that the weather is not cooperative on the date of your session, I will work with the homeowner or real estate agent to ensure that exterior photos are taken as soon as weather permits.
What time of day works best for real estate photography?
Daylight is the number one priority. Usually between the hours of 10:00am - 3:00pm is preferred to reduce shadows and/or too much light, however each property is different and I am more than happy to schedule a session outside of that timeframe if preferred.
